History of Site Changes and Development of new web-site.
April 10th 2011 - A article looking at the valve gear of Bulleid's Q1 by Don Ashton, originally published in Model Engineer. Click here. February 27th 2011 - Another new West Country article, this time an original version of 'City of Wells' in 5" gauge, being built by Stefan Owen, using his talents to pre-model parts in CAD on the computer. Click here. February 20th 2011 - A bumper week perhaps ? Three new pages; A list of errors in the Ariel drawings, Favourite Names chosen for Bulleid models, and a Gallery of various items/models of Bulleid interest. You will have to key in a phrase to see these, this is to deter robots from trying to cataologue this material, which in the case of photos consumes lots of allocated bandwidth. Click here. February 13th 2011 - A new article by Tony Harmsworth about the building of his excellent Ariel based model of 'Clan Line' in 5 inch gauge. There is some useful detail about the sequences in construction of his boiler. Click here. February 5th 2011 - A new article describing the current build of Mike's superb 5" gauge rebuilt West Country class loco "Yeovil"; some first class engineering. If viewing this page with Internet Explorer, you will need to use IE7 or later to see the page as intended (and really no-one should be using IE6 anymore). Click here.

December 31st 2010 - To those following this site, apologies that there appear to have been few updates recently. My year was beset by one trying situation after another, and I had to be hands off for a couple of months. Nevertheless the site has been rewritten for the latest version of the framework, coding tidied up and texts tweaked in places. Also videos of Kevan's IMLEC run with 'Leader', and John Lloyd's 2010 IMLEC run were added to the video section. I have put some new articles together; with additions to the Light Pacifics section coming soon. Today in line with the 70th anniversary of the introduction of Bulleid's first loco design, the Intro page has been updated . . .
March 9th 2010 - A new page, highlighting Bulleid's final steam design - the Irish turf burning loco; this one has been about 20 months in my melting pot . . .

February 19th 2009 - Regular visitors will have noticed changes to the Merchant Navy intro page, but now a proper new page. In the OVSB section, a listing of all Bulleid's British steamers, with a selection for those of an analytical nature. This relatively simple page took me ages to get working properly; though I expect to expand it to hold additional info. More articles to come, but I have actually been getting some work done on my own model !
October 6th 2008 - Some tweaks to the West Country intro page, and a new article about Francis' project - building his new West Country class loco.

September 6th 2008 - If you've been wondering what I've been up to - it's been a busy spring and summer; building our new Club track, time working on my own loco, and some excursions away. There has been an update to the Q1 intro page in an attempt to compact the photos (hope it works for you), and I'm working on new pages. Also changed: Ian has slightly updated his Merchant Navy article and a drawing to reflect a change to the brakes, needed after he bolted it all together.
March 17th 2008 - A new article about Ian's build of Ariel, including his mods to make it more authentic with supporting sketches - a 1st for the web-site.
February 22nd 2008 - A new story about a 3½ inch original gauge Merchant Navy model, with a little twist to accepted history.
January 31st 2008 - A few text changes and an Excel download button added to the index of Ariel build articles.
